AN HOUR TO SAVE YOUR LIFE

PRODUCER DIRECTOR

Medical science series exploring the life or death decisions facing doctors in the first critical hour of emergency care

I trained and received special license to travel with HEMS and embedded with London Air Ambulance and Great Northern Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) in order too film the work of the Doctor-Paramedic Teams that respond to the most critical of emergencies and the medics, surgeons and hospital staff tasked with trying to save a life. Death was commonplace but so too was hope and human resilience.

On series 2 I filmed a thoracotomy involving open heart surgery in the street, the first time the procedure has ever been televised in the UK.
